There are so many dilemmas that one comes across everyday....should I wear blue or red shirt....should I order pizza or chinese....should I watch saas bahu or baalika vadhu (I would rather break my TV than watch either of these).....should I go for a movie or to my relatives place.....well there are so many of them.....but which is the Ultimate Dilemma.....
For me its to pick between what sport do I like more....Cricket or Football.....Cricket I have loved since i was a kid....i remember playing with my elder bro in very small place, and as far as I remember cricket was the only thing I did better than my bro back then.....yeah I would give it to him that he was a better bowler than I was, but unfortunately for him I was a class apart when it came to batting and fielding....in my early school days in Bhopal, I was definitely the champ player....we used to play with those CORK balls which used to hit one kid or the other every other day....Mukesh I remember was a fierce competitor in those days, but I remember my team always used to win (most of the time if not always because of me)......somehow i never played for my school.....then in college(engg) we used to really play lot of cricket, then it was Rachit who really was a good player (more like me, elegant batsman and an equally amazing fielder)......and ofcourse there was Rishabh, who used to be at his best when bowling to me.....when it came to small grounds we really used to have fun at a lot of grounds...still remember playing at Raj's room, and annoying everyone with my classy cricket (especially Sobin and Pups)....and then they used to beat up Doubty!!!! I did play for my engg college, we lost in the first round against the eventual champions, but more than losing I regret that Rachit was not selected in the team, stupid politics everywhere.....played a little bit in MBA as well, but even though it was a very few matches I displayed why I boost so much about my cricket....in my office days it has not been cricket..........
so much written about cricket i almost forgot that this was about the dilemma....so that brings me to football....this sport was always at the back seat for the best part of my Studying years....but since I have started working....I have spent a whole lot of time with football....it all started as a fun practise session...I always thought myself of a forward(STAR STRIKER as every kid feels).....but I went from forward to mid to defence in no time...surprisingly though I was a decent fit in as a defender (even with my small built)....with a decent team, no funding, no seriousness, families and gfs of the team, so much so that even once a week practise session is actually like an achievement.....still the team managed to recently end up winning a tourney(not the best of wins, but a tourney afterall).....I wont lie, I actually enjoy it more while playing with small kids at the tennis court in Sahiils campus....oh yeah BTW Sahiil is actually the STAR STRIKER, and he does play well.....and he has got that typical show off attitude of a good striker as well.....carries of well I must say.......
Even though football has come late in my life still the adrenaline rush is almost as good as cricket.....
As far as watching either of the two on television....for cricket its just Ashes(that too not continously) other than Indian matches....T20 is OK but still not a compulsion.....and football...I like Premier league and watch most of the Man U matches (almost all I should say)....then there is Liverpool and the UEFA finals, semi finals.......
really difficult for me to pick one of these two sports......so what should I eat today pizza or chinese????
